Work Areas

The Trust since its formation have carried out following activities.

  1. Distribution of woollen items, biscuits to beggars sitting outside a temple in Sector 38, Chandigarh.
  2. Distribution of woollen caps, socks, chocolates, toys to child patients suffering from cancer and who were staying in Hansraj Dharamshala at PGI and celebration of X-mas’ festival with them. On the spot drawing competition was also held.
  3. Providing sewing machine and commercial sandwich toaster to specially abled persons for helping them to set up their business to earn their livelihood on regular basis.
  4. Payments of fees for children whose parents could not afford either due to single parent or financial constraints.
  5. Organised free medical camp at Village Sohana, Mohali, wherein free laboratory tests and free medical check-ups were done for villagers.
  6. Providing free food and medicines to Covid affected families in Tricity. In 2nd wave when family could all family members were infected by Corona and none was able to cook food, we arranged free food at their door step. Provided medicines to those families which could not afford them. Besides these we provided free medical advice, arranged oxygen, beds and also arranged donation of blood, platelets.
  7. Provided ration to numerous families where the family could not afford it due to some reason or other.
  8. A poor girl’s family approached the team for different items for the marriage of the girl. Family had no savings. Our team arranged all the items and provided the same to girl’s family one month before her marriage. Another cheque along with some items were given to a Dhobi’s daughter for her marriage.
  9. In 2021 on 15th August, we celebrated Independence Day in a school in Mauli Jagran where children of families from slum area were studying. We distributed laddoos, fruits, chocolates, biscuits and stationery kits to 50 children. Cultural program and drawing competition were held there. Prizes were given to winners.
  10. Tree plantation of around 100 trees in different areas of tricity with active participation by school teachers and children.
  11. Distribution of Diwali gifts to children of slum families.
  12. Collection of old surplus clothes from different families and distribution of same in slums.
  13. Providing new shoes, socks and caps to children of slum families in winter.
  14. Fruits and milk distribution to slums on Shivratri
  15. Providing bags and stationery kits to poor and brilliant students at the start of session.
  16. Celebration of Holi in old age home with inmates of old age home.
  17. Honouring of 16 mothers on Mother’s Day. Out of them 9 of old age home and rest single parent or who have faced financial odds and other difficulties in upbringing their children.
  18. Celebration of Children’s Day with children from slums
  19. collections of used surplus woollen clothes from different households and distribution of the same in slum areas just at the start of winter.
